Between 2003 and 2015 MJ Kazmierski worked in many UK prisons, including some for women.

While running creative writing workshops in those jails, he came up with the story of a woman called MAY FOSTER who ends up in prison and writes a book for other women behind bars - to explain how love works and how quantum physics helps us understand everything and be truly happy.
